Get ready for six weeks of cosy, creative fun at Art Studio 23! This winter term is packed with festive arts and crafts that children will treasure — from painting their own Christmas mug to handmade salt dough ornaments and a special Christmas canvas to end the year.

🌟 Week-by-Week Plan
Week 1 (12 Nov) – Winter Watercolour Wonderlands
We’ll start the term with icy blues, silvers, and snowy sparkle! Children will use salt and watercolour techniques to paint magical winter landscapes filled with trees, snowmen, or reindeer silhouettes.
Week 2 (19 Nov) – Paint Your Own Christmas Mug (Bisque Clay)
A studio favourite! Each child will paint their very own ceramic Christmas mug using special underglazes. Once fired in the kiln, they’ll get it back ready to enjoy a cosy hot chocolate at home — a keepsake they’ll cherish every winter!
Week 3 (26 Nov) – Salt Dough Christmas Decorations (Part 1)
We’ll mix and roll our own salt dough, cut out festive shapes (stars, trees, hearts, and more!), and add details or stamps. Children can make 4–6 decorations each. These will be oven-baked and ready to decorate next week!
Week 4 (3 Dec) – Painting & Finishing Salt Dough Ornaments (Part 2)
Time to bring our creations to life! Kids will paint their baked ornaments in bright, metallic, or glittery colours, add ribbons for hanging, and finish with a coat of varnish. We’ll also decorate presentation boxes so their decorations can be safely stored and treasured for years to come.
Week 5 (10 Dec) – Festive Collage Wreaths
A colourful mixed-media project! Children will create beautiful Christmas wreath artworks using painted papers, collage elements, sequins, and natural materials. A fun way to explore texture and pattern while celebrating the season.
Week 6 (17 Dec) – Christmas Canvas Party 🎄
We’ll wrap up the term with festive tunes, hot chocolate, and our grand finale — a Christmas canvas painting session!Kids will design and paint their own Christmas scene on canvas, choosing from snowmen, reindeer, Santa, or wintry landscapes. A joyful keepsake to display at home for the holidays!
